can I safely assume this is served cold?

Looks great. Can you use corn tortillas? I have to eat gluten free. Thanks.

I like it. Wouldn't it be ok to also use taco meat instead of the chicken.

Just made it for my hubby! We used a flat bread on the very bottom for sturdiness and ground beef in stead of chicken! JUST as awesome! thanks for the great idea!! North Carolina

The flower in that picture is Gooseneck Loosestrife. It is a biannaul. It doesnt' flower the first year but it will the second year. I have heard they are invasive but not here. We are zone 6. They should reseed but I only had 3 come back the next year. I would save seed if you want more and just plant seeds...

The pie looks fantastic, I could make it for myself with a good book. BTW, the dogs look great. Mia looks like a Sheltie.

I happened across your blog after someone posted your taco pie on Facebook. It does look good! I'm curious about the photo of your garden, though. I'm unfamiliar with the spiky gray-leaved plant. I see your comment about it being goose-necked loosestrife but that's incorrect. Goose-necked Loosestrife is Lysamachia clethroides and is a perennial that runs like crazy underground. It has white flowers and comes in no other colors. I'd love to know what your plant is, though. Has anyone else commented on it?

Thank You! Thank You! Thank You! I have been looking for this recipe for several years now. This used to be served in one of my favourite coffee shops and when it closed ... there went my favourite lunch! They called it Mexican Torte, but this is exactly the same recipe! Did I remember to say Thank You? Have a great great day!
